The R-1 pressure transmitter is designed to meet the specific requirements of refrigeration and HVAC applications. The robust and compact design is compatible with the most-widely used refrigerants.  It also features a condensation proof design for long service life.

Applications for the R-1 pressure transmitter include refrigeration and air conditioning units, condensers, compressors, water coolers and ice making equipment. The R-1 is perfectly suited for supermarket freezer systems, hospital and hotel climate control systems, and climate control units that use the full range of standard refrigerants.

Design benefits

The R-1’s monolithic design, with its completely welded thin-film measuring cell, eliminates the need for separate sealing material between the sensor and the housing. Eliminating soft sealing materials seal means there is no chance of it deteriorating over time and causing leaks. Therefore, long-term integrity of the measurement cell can be guaranteed.

The R-1 design provides other benefits:

  • No need for elaborate media compatibility tests 
  • Wetted parts made from stainless steel ensure long-term stability and an especially high burst pressure 
  • Excellent price/performance ratio
