WIKA has a long history in pressure measurement manufacturing and design. More than 60 years ago, we began producing mechanical pressure gauges. Today, we are recognized worldwide in the fields of pressure measurement, temperature measurement, and calibration technology. Approximately 600 million WIKA measuring instruments are in use around the world.
WIKA offers a broad portfolio of instruments for pressure measurement:
Measuring instruments for electronic pressure measurement
In electronic pressure measurement, a sensor receives the pressure to be measured, or the change in pressure, and converts it into an electrical signal. The electrical signal indicates the magnitude of the applied pressure or the pressure change. WIKA offers pressure sensors including: Metal thin-film, ceramic thick-film and piezoresistive.
Measuring instruments for mechatronic pressure measurement
In mechatronic pressure measurement, mechanical measuring instruments are combined with electrical output signals and/or switch contacts for system control and monitoring. The electrical output signal enables modern electronic measured value registration. Electrical circuits can be opened and closed using switch contacts. Thus, plants cannot only be monitored, but also directly controlled as set measured value limits are crossed. Mechanical pressure switches complete the WIKA portfolio.
Measuring instruments for mechanical pressure measurement
In mechanical pressure measurement, measuring instruments feature pressure elements that deform elastically under the influence of a pressure, which is positive or negative in relation to atmospheric pressure (ambient pressure). In contrast to electronic pressure measurement technology mechanical instruments do not require power supply for operation. Alongside their simple operation, their advantage lies in their marked robustness. WIKA offers you mechanical pressure measuring instruments with scale ranges from 0 ... 0.5 mbar up to 0 ... 7,000 bar.
Diaphragm seals also make up the WIKA portfolio. By using them, an accurate pressure measurement is possible under extreme conditions. From WIKA, you can find the ideal diaphragm seal for each application, including specialty designs for HF alkalyation units and tightly monitored sanitary processes.
