Klaus Gross joined WIKA Instrument Corporation (WIC) in 1988 and was hired to work in the design department. Ten years later, in 1998, Gross was promoted to Chief Operating Officer and continues to serve in this executive capacity. Gross reports directly to Michael Gerster, President, WIKA Instrument Corporation and serves on the Steering Committee.
He oversees WIKA’s operational processes to meet customer expectations for fulfilling daily incoming orders and producing high quality products cost effectively. Gross also seeks to create a safe working environment while continuously improving the KPI (key performance indicators) in productivity, lead time, on-time delivery and cost.
By providing industry leading results in productivity and delivery, customers receive high quality, price effective products with the shortest lead time in the industry. Customers also receive high variation and custom made products with high quality and short lead times because of our mature lean manufacturing processes. By creating customer loyalty with lean manufacturing, Gross sees WIKA growing regardless of economic fluctuations and competitive activities.
Prior to becoming Chief Operating Officer for the WIC, Gross was a manager for the mechanical engineering department developing and building the manufacturing equipment for WIKA Alexander Wiegand SE & Co. KG.
Gross earned a Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Wiesbaden in Germany and an Industrial Engineering degree from Refa Institute of Technology to enhance his business administration skills.
