Michael Gerster joined WIKA Instrument Corporation (WIKA) in October 1998 as President. In this role, Gerster is responsible for guiding senior staff leaders on continuous improvement initiatives, creating constant, sufficient customer contact and ensuring WIKA delivers on all of their core values.
Gerster’s vision for WIKA is to build market share throughout North America, by simplifying the process of doing business, offering a broad product base and creating quality products. He believes in listening to customers and recalibrating to identify with their needs and wants. By listening to customers, Gerster hopes to integrate WIKA into all future customer practices and to create brand loyalty.
Prior to joining WIKA, Gerster served as Strategic Leader at Rotarex in Luxembourg. Gerster originates from Cologne, Germany where he earned a Mechanical Engineering degree in Tooling Machines from the University of Cologne and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Siegen University.
Gerster reports directly to Alexander Wiegand, Chairman and CEO of WIKA Alexander Wiegand SE & Co. KG and leads on the Steering Committee.
